Friday, September 25, 7 to 9 pm
Opening Reception for Elizabeth D’Agostino: Makeshift

Join us for an opening reception for Elizabeth D’Agostino: Makeshift. It will be held at the Kelowna Art Gallery on Friday, September 25, from 7 to 9 pm.

The artist will be in attendance and will offer remarks at 7 pm. This is a free event, open to members and guests by invitation. This event is ages 19+ as beer and wine will be available.

This solo show by Toronto-based printmaker Elizabeth D’Agostino features prints that explore themes from the natural world, including animals. The works wrap around the Reynolds Gallery space and are accompanied by sculptures, made from paper clay and printed Gampi (Japanese paper).

Sunday September 27, 1 to 4 pm
Family Sundays – Create your own Wildlife Painting!

Children and families will celebrate culture in the Okanagan by selecting their favourite Canadian animals and using acrylic paint to create our own unique paintings. This hands-on-activity is inspired by Valerie Rogers’ exhibition Lift Off and Soar at our satellite space at the Kelowna International Airport. It will be led by the Gallery’s helpful instructors, who will also provide age-appropriate information about the current exhibitions on view.
