The Glass Gallery

The second featured site-specific installation in The Glass Gallery is by Kelowna-based artist and interior designer, Christina McGovern. Her work plays with the contrast between straight lines, the natural flow of watercolour paints, and the many textures inherent in fibre textiles and raw paper. In Shoreline, McGovern makes use of the natural textures and movement of her freely suspended multi-layered work to reference the Okanagan shores during long hot summer days.

The Glass Gallery is a new exhibition space, which aims to highlight the work of emerging and early career artists from our community. The juried space will be home to three feature installations in 2021. It is situated adjacent to the main entrance of the Gallery on Water Street and can be viewed twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
