In a Strange Place | January 18 to April 27, 2025

Mia Rushton and Eric Moschopedis, In a Strange Place, 2023, video still

Art Activity: Mixed Media

In a Strange Place is a 9-channel video installation, by artists Eric Moschopedis and Mia Rushton, focused on the future forest and those who care for it. Forest caretakers (forester, conservationist, activist etc.) perform small choreographies that are a reflection of their work, their connection to the forest, and their role in its future. Through a series of overlapping, interacting, and individual performances, students will move within the installation—a digital forest—becoming active in their viewing.

Students will focus on the future of the forest and our role in caring for it before completing their own mixed media collage.
