Art Activity: Printmaking
The Permanent Collection of the Kelowna Art Gallery contains nearly one thousand works of art by regional and national artists.
Rise/Fall explores the interplay of the human body and the landscape, drawing from both historical and contemporary works from the Kelowna Art Gallery’s Permanent Collection, including sculpture, installation, video, fibre arts, painting, drawing, photography and printmaking. Rise/Fall features the work of prominent Canadian artists such as Susan Point and Daphne Odjig. This exhibition will help students think critically about how the land shapes and is shaped by human presence and activity.
Students will complete a printmaking activity incorporating a simple portrait focused on colour.
In-Person School Tours:
Cost: $6 per student
Tour time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Capacity: Up to 30 students
Virtual School Tours:
Cost per tour: $65.00 flat rate
Tour time: 45 minutes
Capacity: Up to 40 participants
PLEASE NOTE:
All school tours are booked online. Once your online form has been submitted you will receive an email confirmation within 5 business days. Tours are not booked until a date and time slot have been confirmed via email by Kelowna Art Gallery staff. All requests will be handled on a first come, first serve basis.
We require 48 hours notice should you need to cancel your tour. A fee of $45 will be required for any cancellations after this time.
Payment: We will require the exact number of students on the day of the field trip and will email an invoice to your school within two weeks following the field trip.
Exhibition dates may be subject to change. If this occurs, you will be contacted ahead of time and provided with alternate tour options.
