Operatic Oasis
Thursday, July 6, 2023 | 6 to 8 pm
at the Kelowna Art Gallery
Update (07/04/2023): We’ve reached capacity. SOLD OUT!
Join us for an evening of fashion, fine art, and vocal performances inspired by The Wishing Well
Award winning opera vocalist Alexa Hildebrandt and bella canton performer Joshua Clearwater will make this sculpture their stage wearing custom couture fashion designed by the artist Jorden Doody. Witness as art becomes life and sculpture becomes fashion.
Inspired by the essence of an oasis, this special one-night-only performance is a refreshing celebration of culture and beauty organized in connection with Jorden and David Doody’s art installation The Wishing Well.
Performances will take place in the open-air Rotary Courtyard space.
A reception with light refreshments will follow in The Front project space. Wine (courtesy of Mission Hill Family Estate) and beer (courtesy of BNA Brewing Co.) will be available for purchase, along with a variety of non-alcoholic options.
FREE. Registration is required as space is limited.
NOTE: We have had a tremendous response! This event will be standing room only and sightlines will be limited. Overflow from the Courtyard space will be along the windows with the main Galleria Hallway (and wherever one can find space!) Just a handful of seats will be available for those guests who truly require them.
