BOMBHEAD Lecture Series: Mary Kavanagh
Thursday, April 15, 2021 | 6 to 7 pm
before the before the after

Join Mary Kavanagh, Professor and Board of Governors Research Chair in the Department of Art, University of Lethbridge, for a thought-provoking lecture entitled “before the before the after”.

Contamination and containment, invisibility and representation, violence and evidence – these concepts thread through Kavanagh’s work, which examines the entanglement of public and private realms and the encoding of militarized conflict on the body and in the home.

Kavanagh will share experiences from her multiple venue exhibition “Daughters of Uranium” (2019-2020) and speak about issues surrounding nuclear armament.
