Glenn Clark’s Wackem Sackem series explores Canada’s cultural connection to hockey through painting and kinetic installation. Drawing on his experience as both a player and artist, Clark reflects on hockey’s role in shaping identity, community, and everyday life. With a combination of humour and nostalgia these visually bold and dynamic works, inspired by classic table hockey imagery, capture the movement and excitement of the game.

Born and raised in Kelowna, Glenn Clark is an Okanagan-based artist with a Fine Arts diploma with distinction from Okanagan College and a BFA from University of Calgary. For decades he has combined his two passions – hockey and art. He is well known for his Penticton Vees mural at the Brandenburg Gate in Penticton. Now that he is retired from playing hockey, Clark continues to paint the world around him from his studio.
