KAG_Connect3A studio art program for adults with developmental disabilities The Kelowna Art Gallery is excited to offer CONNECT this summer for adults with developmental disabilities. CONNECT will provide an enriching opportunity for individuals to view and discuss works of art at the Gallery, meet local artists, and spend time making art in the Gallery’s studio space. All supplies for the course are included.

Back to Basics: Art Fundamentals
Instructor: Jolene Mackie
Dates: Tuesdays, January 14
to February 18
Time: 1:00 to 2:30 pm

We will spend this six-week session exploring the basic fundamentals of art, such as line, shape, colour, and pattern. Participants will work with a variety of materials to create unique projects that build on a new idea each week.


It’s All About Paint
Instructor: Natasha Harvey
Dates: Tuesdays, February 25
to April 1
Time: 1:00 to 2:30 pm

In this class we will be pushing paint with brushes, palette knives, and rollers.  We will explore acrylic and watercolour paint, as well as media that can be added to paint, such as gels and pastes. Paint is an exciting medium to explore, as there are so many possibilities. Projects in this class will encompass abstraction and realism.


Cost per six-week session: $10.00, all supplies included.
