Megan Bernard
Megan was born and raised in Nelson, BC, located in the heart of the Kootenays. After traveling abroad for several years and working at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Banff, Alberta, Megan returned to Nelson to attend the Kootenay School of the Arts. She graduated with a diploma in clay and design in 2002, and then moved to Kelowna where she continued to create clay work, as well as instruct various classes. In 2007 Megan returned to her formal studies, and in 2010 received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus on painting from the University of British Columbia Okanagan. She is currently continuing her studies towards a Bachelor of Education, while simultaneously developing bodies of work, both in painting and in clay, instructing classes, and exhibiting her work in various venues.
