Second Nature

Work by Art Teachers from School District No. 23

January 21 to February 26, 2012

The Kelowna Art Gallery has worked closely with the art teachers from School District No. 23 for the past twenty-five years on the annual Art in Action student exhibitions. This year we are we are turning our focus to the teachers who inspire creativity and innovation in our youth. This exhibition recognizes the creativity, expertise, and accomplishments of Kelowna’s art educators, and celebrates their studio practices and explorations that take place beyond the classroom.  This show will feature works in a variety of media, including drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, collage, mixed media, ceramics, and sculpture.  Artists represented in this show teach middle school and high school art classes in our local School District No. 23.
