Opening Receptions
The Kelowna Art Gallery holds a number of opening receptions throughout the year to launch new exhibitions. These events frequently include a talk and tour of the exhibition, delivered by the artist(s) and/or the guest curator. Opening receptions are free and open to members and guests, by invitation.

7 to 10 pm, at the Kelowna Art Gallery
Illuminate will officially kick off the Okanagan’s favorite season, while shining a light on the variety of exhibitions on view at the Gallery through the summer. To celebrate the summer solstice, the evening will feature four exhibitions, complimentary refreshments, a cash bar, door prizes and silent auction, a photo studio, a hands-on art activity, and musical entertainment by local recording artists Thomas Kjorven and Jeff Piattelli.
Guests are invited to break out their bright colours and dress to impress – Okanagan summer style! Proceeds from this fundraising event will benefit the Gallery’s educational programming.
Advance tickets are $20 for members, $30 for non-members, include refreshments and two complimentary beverages, and will be available for purchase at the Gallery, at Mosaic Books, online at kelownaartgallery.com, or by calling 250-762-2226.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the door on Friday, June 22, 2012, priced at $30 for members, and $40 for non-members.
