Fashions by award-winning designer Sheila Keighron
Featuring the art of Canadian artist Dr. Daphne Odjig, C.M., O.B.C., LL.D., R.C.A.

The Kelowna Art Gallery invites you to join us on Friday, September 9, 2011, from 7-9 pm for the Western Canada launch of the Genesis line of women’s clothing, inspired by the art of one of Canada’s most celebrated artists, Daphne Odjig. These fashions, by award-winning designer Sheila Keighron, subtly incorporate and pay homage to the art of Daphne Odjig. Her long and close friendship with the artist inspired Keighron to create the Genesis collection, which includes many pieces, from soft, flowing full-length coats, to scarves infused with the wonderful colours of Odjig’s art.

In addition, enjoy an exhibition of Daphne Odjig’s work in our Front Project Space, from Wednesday, September 7 through Sunday, September 18, 2011. This exhibition will be free to the public.

Exclusive to the Kelowna Art Gallery, this Gallery fundraising event is a launch for Genesis into both Canada’s fashion scene, as well as the Canadian art world.
