April 14 to June 17, 2018
Installation view of LOVE, the Art in Action exhibition held in 2017.
For this year’s 32nd Art in Action student exhibition at the Kelowna Art Gallery, young artists were asked to create works inspired by nature. The natural environment encompasses the interaction of all living species, climate, weather, and natural resources. It is important that youth in our community have the ability and disposition to consider the interdependence of people with each other and the natural environment. Students who demonstrate this social responsibility are active, caring, and responsible members of society. We hope that this theme will teach students that ideas and beliefs within a work of art have the power to affect change.
Thursday, May 3, 6 to 8 pm
This is a free event, open to members and guests by invitation.
