New Program for
adults with developmental disabilities!
CONNECT
After the success of the We Are Artists exhibition,
we are excited to launch CONNECT, our new studio art program for adults
with developmental disabilities. CONNECT will provide an enriching
opportunity for individuals with developmental disabilities to view and
discuss works of art at the Gallery, meet local artists and spend time
making art in the Gallery’s studio space. The following class,
Expressions in Paint, is the first class in the series.
Expressions in Paint
Date: Mondays
July 12 - August 16
Time: 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Instructor: Crystal Przybille
Cost: $15, all supplies included
Using the Kelowna
Art Gallery's summer exhibition The Tree: From the Sublime to the Social as
inspiration, participants will use paint to explore ways of approaching
the subject of a tree. Students will learn the basics of colour mixing and
will explore two painting mediums: watercolour and acrylic. Through a
series of creative projects, students will work through the steps of
creating a final painting in both mediums.

Art Gallery at 250-762-2226 to register.
